John Manzella - President & CEO
John Manzella is President and CEO of World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara. He also is an author, speaker, and chair of the Upstate New York District Export Council, a position appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce. Additionally, he is founder of both The Manzella Report, a leading source for global business and economic news and analysis, and Manzella Trade Communications Inc., a public affairs, publishing and consulting firm.
John has written hundreds of articles and several books, including Global America: Understanding Global and Economic Trends and How To Ensure Competitiveness, Grasping Globalization: It's Impact and Your Corporate Response, and Mexico & NAFTA: The Real Impact.
His op-eds have been nationally syndicated and his views have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Bloomberg, Buffalo News, NPR, Xinhua (China), La Jornada (Mexico) and Lianhe Zaobao (Singapore). John also is a contributing writer for American City Business Journals, owner of 43 metropolitan weekly publications.
Thomas J. Bienias - President, Triex Consultants
Triex Consultants, an international business consultancy, has partnered with the World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara. Tom is the former CEO of Ethox Corporation (sold to Moog Inc. in 2009) and former President of Harmac Medical Products Inc. Earlier in his career, he held various executive positions in engineering, quality assurance/regulatory affairs and manufacturing management in Buffalo, New York and various locations throughout the United States, Europe, and Central America.
Having established and/or managed corporate operations in China, Ireland, Lithuania, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Sweden, Tom brings extensive international business knowledge and experience to the World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara. As an accomplished business development and manufacturing executive, he is well versed in strategic planning, manufacturing operations, engineering, project management, marketing, and foreign trade and business development. Tom also is recognized for exceptional leadership, communications, management and interpersonal skills.
Bob Arnold - President, RHA Results, LLC.
RHA Results, an international business development company, has partnered with World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara. Bob is the former President and PLC Director of the Rochester-based Rotork, PLC, where much of his efforts focused on business development in the Americas, and included integrating acquisitions and developing successful operations in Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, and Chile. Bob also has a great deal of experience in engineering, manufacturing, sales, corporate governance, strategic planning, and risk assessment.
Also active in Europe, India, China, the Middle East, and the Far East, Bob has assisted companies to expand internationally through trade and investment, and in doing so, has provided international business plans, foreign market, compliance and competitor analysis, and helped firms establish relationships with foreign buyers, distributors and agents.
Ashica Ambu - Director, Marketing & Communications
Ashica started at WTCBN in 2008, assisting with marketing for events and research for consulting projects in intermodal and expansion into new markets such as South Korea for local manufacturing companies. She graduated with degrees in Communication and East Asian Studies with concentrations in South Korean and Anthropology from the University at Buffalo. She also attended Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea. Before joining WTCBN, Ashica coordinated meetings and events for academic and international groups and served as a Senator for the Undergraduate Student Association at the University at Buffalo for four years. She currently manages WTCBN's educational programs and events, oversees marketing and the content of WTCBN’s website, social media and other communications.
