Coffee and Cars Highlight World Trade Celebration 2010

Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin-Robbins and Ford Motor Company will high The 15th Annual World Trade Celebration takes place on October 20, 2010 at the renovated Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in Downtown Buffalo.  This year's keynote speakers are Jon Luther, Chairman of Dunkin' Brands (Dunkin' Donuts & Baskin-Robbins) and Jim Tetreault, Vice President, North American Manufacturing, Ford Motor Company. 


Jon Luther grew up in Tonawanda, NY and is a 1961 graduate of Kenmore East. Luther was named chief executive officer of Dunkin' Brands in January 2003 and chairman in March 2006. A veteran of the food-service industry, Jon is a proven leader at creative brand development and at satisfying consumers who seek quality, convenience, and value in a quick service restaurant setting. From February 1997 until December 2002, Jon was president of Popeyes Chicken & Biscuits, a division of AFC Enterprises. During his term, the company's store count grew 67 percent to 1,672 units, while average annual unit volume grew to over $1 million, the highest in the chicken QSR category.

Prior to Popeyes, Jon was president of CA One Services, a subsidiary of Buffalo-based Delaware North Companies, Inc. He has also held leadership positions in the contract foodservice division of the Marriott Corporation and at ARAMARK in Philadelphia, PA.

Jon holds a degree in hotel and restaurant management from Paul Smith’s College, and honorary doctorate degrees from Bentley College and Johnson & Wales University. He supports culinary and foodservice programs at a variety of institutions, including serving on the Board of Directors for The Elliot Leadership Institute and the Board of Trustees for the Culinary Institute of America. In addition, Jon is on the Board of Trustees at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass., and on the Executive Board of Directors for the Companions in Courage Foundation, which builds interactive playrooms in children's hospitals throughout North America.
 

As Vice President, North America Manufacturing, Jim Tetreault leads Ford's North America Manufacturing operations and drives the company's continued efforts to improve manufacturing flexibility and efficiency in North America as it retools several truck factories to launch a host of smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles.

Just prior to this position, Tetreault served as vice president, Manufacturing, Ford of Europe, a position he held since 2005. In Europe, he was responsible for all European vehicle and powertrain manufacturing operations including Manufacturing Planning and Logistics and the European Ford Land facility management for Ford plants in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Romania, Russia, Turkey and the UK.

Tetreault has held several management positions in Ford North American manufacturing facilities, including plant manager in three assembly plants and one stamping plant. From 2000 until 2002, he was Vehicle Operations Director of Quality, and from 2002 until 2005 he was Director of Manufacturing, Vehicle Operations.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1955, Tetreault joined Ford Motor Company in 1988 after spending the early part of his career at Chrysler Corporation, where he worked in management positions in production and engineering. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of Michigan in 1978.
