WORLD TRADE CENTER BUFFALO NIAGARA HOSTS 3RD ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL CASE COMPETITION

2021 event moved to virtual format including schools from both sides of the border

World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara (WTCBN) held the 3rd Annual WTCBN International Case Competition on Friday, March 19th virtually via Zoom. The 2021 Case Competition featured teams from four (4) colleges and universities in the bi-national Buffalo Niagara region.

“Our annual International Case Competition was designed to create a stronger connection between our organization, our members and higher education in the region – and we believe it’s been a huge success,” said Craig Turner, WTCBN President. “Knowing the schools have been dealing with an awful lot over the past year, we floated the idea of continuing the competition for a third year, and were given a resounding, ‘Yes!’ That was incredibly uplifting, and we’re pleased to not only be working with the schools and students again this year, but engaging the World Trade Centers Association to participate, as well.”

Competing schools for the 2021 event were Brock University, Canisius College, Daemen College and Niagara College. Teams were comprised of undergraduate international business students, and competed on a real-life case provided by World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara. The 2021 program featured keynote presentation from Robin van Puyenbroeck, executive director for business development for the World Trade Centers Association.
